In Adelaide, the median age of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people was 31 years. Of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people 15.4% were children aged 0 to 14 years and 3.0% were people aged 65 years and over.

In Adelaide, 11.9% of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people were married and 11.4% were either divorced or separated.

In Adelaide, 4.2% of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people were in a registered marriage and 9.9% were in a de facto marriage.

Cultural & language diversity

English was the only language spoken at home by 60.2% of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Adelaide. The only other responses for language at home were Pitjantjatjara 6.0% and Warlpiri 1.5%.

The only responses for occupations for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Adelaide were Clerical and Administrative Workers 32.4%, Professionals 23.5%, Labourers 17.6%, Community and Personal Service Workers 14.7% and Managers 11.8%.

The only responses for industry of employment for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Adelaide were Accommodation 40.0%, Central Government Administration 20.0%, State Government Administration 20.0% and Aged Care Residential Services 20.0%.
