In Grafton Region, the median age of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people was 24 years. Of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people 34.4% were children aged 0 to 14 years and 7.0% were people aged 65 years and over.

Cultural & language diversity

English was the only language spoken at home by 95.5% of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Grafton Region. The only other responses for language at home were Gumbaynggir 0.8%, Bandjalang 0.6% and Other Australian Indigenous Languages, nec 0.5%.
