Information regarding graduate positions

As an ABS Graduate, you will:

  • be placed in a permanent full-time role.
  • undertake a 12-month development program that includes rotations, workshops, projects, shadowing and coaching opportunities, panel discussions, psychometric profiling, and engaging with communities of practice.
  • participate in on-the-job training specific to your role.
  • do meaningful work from day one.
  • be valued for your unique perspective and diverse views.

We offer you:

  • an attractive starting salary from $72,973 plus 15.4% superannuation. Upon completion of the 12-month program, your salary will advance to $82,080 plus 15.4% superannuation.

 We use a blended learning model that incorporates internally delivered e-learning, face-to-face, and virtual learning opportunities, augmented by external development. Some of the opportunities that our graduates have include:

Study leave and financial assistance:

The ABS is committed to providing opportunities for you to develop and enhance your skills and qualifications. Through the ABS’ Study Support Program, we provide paid leave and financial assistance to employees undertaking approved external part-time study. We recognise the importance of ongoing learning and want to help you expand your skills and knowledge in line with corporate goals and your individual career development.
