Of the population born in Sri Lanka who usually live in Rest of NSW, 10.2% were aged 0 - 14 years and 11.1% were aged 65 years and over. The median age of people in Rest of NSW who were born in Sri Lanka was 39 years.

Of people in Rest of NSW aged 15 years and over who were born in Sri Lanka, 70.0% were married, 2.4% were separated, and 3.9% were divorced.

In Rest of NSW of people who were born in Sri Lanka, the most common responses to the religion question were Buddhism 46.2%, Hinduism 16.7%, Catholic 13.6%, No Religion, so described 7.2% and Anglican 5.0%.

Employment

In Rest of NSW of people who were born in Sri Lanka and who were in the labour force, 59.9% worked full-time, 27.3% worked part-time and 8.3% were unemployed.
