Of the population born in Germany who usually live in Rest of NSW, 1.1% were aged 0 - 14 years and 61.6% were aged 65 years and over. The median age of people in Rest of NSW who were born in Germany was 68 years.

In Rest of NSW of people who were born in Germany, the most common responses to the religion question were No Religion, so described 30.1%, Catholic 27.4%, Lutheran 15.4%, Anglican 7.4% and Christian, nfd 2.3%.

In Rest of NSW of people who were born in Germany, 62.4% spoke English only at home. A further 35.4% spoke another language but also spoke English very well or well.

Employment

In Rest of NSW of people who were born in Germany and who were in the labour force, 48.8% worked full-time, 39.3% worked part-time and 5.9% were unemployed.

In Rest of NSW 65.6% of employed people who were born in Germany travelled to work on census day by car, while 1.5% travelled by bus or train.
