Explanatory Notes

This microdata product contains records from the Personal Income Tax and Migrants Integrated Dataset (PITMID). The Migrant Personal Income Tax Data Integration Project used a deterministic linking strategy to combine the Australian Tax Office (ATO) Personal Income Tax 100% data file for the 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 financial years with Permanent Migrant Data compiled by the Australian Government from various departmental systems and a number of external sources.
