- there were 47,379 persons in custody, up 1% (443 persons) from the September quarter 2025 and up 7% (3,117 persons) from the December quarter 2024
- sentenced prisoners increased by 1% (351 persons) from the September quarter 2025 to 27,585 persons
- the imprisonment rate was 217 persons per 100,000 adult population, up from 216 persons in the September quarter 2025.
