• contributed $11.9b (0.47%) to Australia’s gross value added, up 12.4% from the previous year
• employed 69,400 persons, up 9.1% from the previous year
• consisted of 5,539 Australian businesses.

Integrates ABS micro and macro data to produce distributional information of household income, consumption and wealth

• Household wealth increased $551.3b (3.1%) to $18,400.7b.
• Demand for credit was $155.6b.
• Australia's net borrowing position rose by $14.0b to $31.2b this quarter.
• Capital investment as a proportion of GDP increased to 24.5%.

Input–Output (I-O) tables provide detailed information about the supply and use of products in the Australian economy

• The Australian economy rose 0.4% in seasonally adjusted chain volume measures.
• In nominal terms, GDP rose 1.7%.
• The terms of trade rose 0.3%.
• Household saving to income ratio rose to 6.4% from 6.0%. 

Estimates of the direct contribution that NPIs make to the Australian economy, including to gross value added and gross domestic product

• Gross State Product (GSP) rose in all states and territories in 2024-25
• The strongest result was observed in the Australian Capital Territory, which grew 3.5%, followed by Queensland (2.2%), Western Australia (1.3%) and Victoria (1.1%)

• The Australian economy grew 1.4% in chain volume terms in 2024-25.
• Labour productivity fell 0.7%.
• The household saving ratio rose to 6.1% from 3.0% in 2023-24.
• National net worth rose $0.8 trillion to $21.4 trillion.

• Total transport activity contributed 7.9% ($164.4b) to GDP in 2020-21.
• Total transport activity was the second largest industry contributor to the Australian economy behind mining in 2020-21.
• There were around 1.2 million employed persons in the total transport industry (including warehousing) in 2020-21.

In June quarter 2025, there were 702,800 tourism jobs. This was:

• 3,900 (-0.6%) less jobs than March quarter 2025
• 30,900 (4.6%) more jobs than June quarter 2024
• 1 in 23 (4.4%) filled jobs in the economy.

In 2024-25,

• tourism gross domestic product (GDP) was $81.1b in current prices
• tourism GDP rose 0.7% in chain volume terms
• international tourism consumption rose by $2.6b in chain volume terms
• domestic tourism consumption rose by $1.2b in chain volume terms
• tourism filled jobs rose 2.0% to 696,000.
