Main tasks
- Manages the day-to-day retail operations of a community pharmacy
- Implements store procedures relating to handling medicines and private patient information, and ensures staff follow them
- Manages pharmacy retail staff, including hiring, rostering and performance reviews
- Trains Community Pharmacy Sales Assistants in customer service, medicine handling and when to refer customers to the Community Pharmacist
- Coordinates customer and patient flow and supports the delivery of pharmacy services
- Manages stock and inventory of products such as non-prescription drugs, health and first aid supplies, toiletries and cosmetics
- Responds to customer enquiries and resolves complaints
- Prepares financial reports and manages budgets
