Family Characteristics Survey, 2003, Expanded
 

The 2003 Family Characteristics CURF consists of 24,498 unidentifiable household records, 17,840 unidentifiable family records and 61,859 unidentifiable person records. A particular focus of the data is families with children aged 0-17 years. The CURF contains information about households such as number of families and persons in the household, household composition and life stage of the household. Information about families is also included such as family composition, family life stage type, family structure, number of persons in the family, number of children with a natural parent living elsewhere and their visiting arrangements with that parent, child support arrangements and amount of child support paid, parents marital status, labour force details of parents, usual hours worked, weekly income of parents and sources of that income. Information about persons is also included on the CURF such as relationship in household, relationship of parent to child in the household, child's relationship to parent in the household, educational attainment, labour force details such as usual hours worked, occupation, industry and duration of employment, gross weekly income and all sources of that income.

The Expanded CURF can be accessed via the ABS Remote Access Data Laboratory (RADL).
