Income and Housing Costs Survey, Australia, 1999-2000, Basic
 

The file to be released consists of unidentified individual statistical records containing data on 13,070 persons belonging to 8,249 income units from 6,637 households in private dwellings. The data include State and capital city/balance of state identifiers; details of the composition of income unit and household; relationship in family and household; age, sex, marital status, birthplace and year of arrival in Australia; labour force details (some items for up to eight sequential months) including occupation, industry and hours worked; qualifications, student status and other details of education; details of mortgages and loans; housing costs, type of tenure and landlord, number of bedrooms and type of dwelling structure; taxes and income units, and weekly and annual income for households; and for NSW, Victoria, Queensland and WA the quintile of the index of socioeconomic disadvantage (SEIFA).

This CURF is available on CD-ROM or via the
ABS Remote Access Data Laboratory.
