The 2002 National Crime and Safety Expanded CURF contains unidentified individual statistical records containing information about 41,166 persons aged 15 years and over and 20,934 households enumerated in the 2002 National Crime and Safety Survey.
Information shown includes: selected household and personal characteristics including demographic, education and labour force characteristics; the State/Territory of residence and whether in capital city or rest of State; neighbourhood problems and feelings of safety; details of break-ins, attempted break-ins and motor vehicle thefts in the previous 12 months; including number of incidents; whether reported to police and reasons not reported, and offender action at most recent event; details of robbery and sexual and other assault in the previous 12 months including number of incidents; whether reported to police and reasons not reported; location of incident; use of weapon; number, sex and age of offender(s), items taken in robbery; emotional impact of incident and support services accessed.
