We have six official channels to keep you updated and informed. These include our website, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and our Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.

We will never use social media to ask for personal, identifiable information.
If you use our social media to ask us questions, please don’t include any personal, identifiable information. This is to protect your own privacy.
If you feel you are in danger as a result of an interaction with someone claiming to be from the Australian Bureau of Statistics call Crimes Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
If you receive a suspicious direct message or request on social media from someone claiming to be from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, please contact us via our social media channel or visit the Contact Us section of our website.
Our LinkedIn and YouTube accounts also have our logo as our profile picture, including the Commonwealth coast of arms.
Any accounts with similar names claiming to be the Australian Bureau of Statistics are fake and should be reported to us through direct message or to the platform immediately.
Any website with similar names or web addresses claiming to be the Australian Bureau of Statistics are fake and should be reported to us immediately on 1300 135 070 between 9.00am and 4.00pm AEST, Monday to Friday.
Most Australian Government websites use the ‘.gov.au’ extension in the address—never ‘.org’, ‘.net’ or ‘.com’. Any website claiming to be a government department or agency without this should be treated with caution.
