Any website with similar names or web addresses claiming to be the Australian Bureau of Statistics are fake and should be reported to us immediately on 1300 135 070 between 9.00am and 4.00pm AEST, Monday to Friday. Most Australian Government websites use the ‘.gov.au’ extension in the address—never ‘.org’, ‘.net’ or ‘.com’. Any website claiming to be a government department or agency without this should be treated with caution.
