Income and Housing Costs Survey, Australia, 1990
 

A confidentialised unit record file (CURF) consisting of unidentified statistical records relating to 30,444 persons belonging to 18,952 income units in private and special dwellings. The statistical data for these records on the CURF are contained in two folders.

The first of these folders contains state identifiers and capital city/rest of state identifiers (ACT and NT combined with capital city as part of state); household, family and income unit types; other demographic items such as age, sex, marital status, country of birth and year of arrival in Australia; highest qualifications obtained, study status and other details of education; labour force details on industry, occupation and hours worked; details of mortgages and loans; housing information on nature of occupancy, type of landlord and housing costs; dwelling structure and amenities; and for persons and income units, information on taxes and details of weekly and annual income by fine level source of income.

The second folder contains linking identifiers and 2 other items , actual hours worked (top coded at 61 hours or more) in main job and actual hours worked (top coded at 51 hours or more) in second job. This additional data is useful for labour market analysis purposes.
