Labour accounts

• Over the six years to June 2016, filled jobs grew by 6.9%.
• Over the same period, the number of employed persons increased by 6.8%.
• Over the six years to June 2016, hours actually worked increased by 5.7%.
• Total labour income increased over the six years to June 2016 by 21.5%.

In seasonally adjusted terms for the September quarter 2025:

• total jobs increased 0.6% to 16.4 million
• filled jobs increased 0.7% to 16.1 million
• secondary jobs increased 3.8% to 1.1 million
• proportion of vacant jobs decreased to 2.0%
• multiple job-holders increased 2.2% to 973,000
• hours worked increased 0.2% to 6.0 billion hours.
