Labour accounts

In seasonally adjusted terms for the December quarter 2025:

• total jobs increased 0.3% to 16.4 million
• filled jobs increased 0.4% to 16.1 million
• secondary jobs increased 0.4% to 1.1 million
• proportion of vacant jobs remained at 2.0%
• multiple job-holders increased 0.4% to 976,400
• hours worked increased 0.7% to 6.1 billion hours.

• Over the six years to June 2016, filled jobs grew by 6.9%.
• Over the same period, the number of employed persons increased by 6.8%.
• Over the six years to June 2016, hours actually worked increased by 5.7%.
• Total labour income increased over the six years to June 2016 by 21.5%.
