The preliminary estimate of the total value of residential dwellings in Australia in the March quarter 2025 was $11,366.4 billion, up $130.7 billion from $11,235.7 billion in the December quarter 2024.
Of the total value of residential dwellings, $10,918.9 billion was owned by households.
In the March quarter 2025, the total value of residential dwellings rose in all states and territories, with growth most evident in Queensland (+1.9%) and South Australia (+1.6%).
The number of residential dwellings in Australia rose by 53,400 to 11,338,500, and the mean price of residential dwellings rose by $6,900 to $1,002,500, this quarter. This is the first time the national mean price has passed $1,000,000.
