The preliminary estimate of the total value of residential dwellings in Australia in the December quarter 2025 was $12,307.2 billion, up $384.8 billion from $11,922.4 billion in the September quarter 2025.
Of the total value of residential dwellings, $11,821.3 billion was owned by households.
In the December quarter 2025, the total value of residential dwellings rose in all states and territories, with growth most evident in Queensland (+5.3%), Western Australia (+7.8%), and New South Wales (+1.7%).
The number of residential dwellings in Australia rose by 54,100 to 11,452,200, and the mean price of residential dwellings rose by $28,700 to $1,074,700 this quarter.
