Complete monthly measure of the CPI

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) will release a complete monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) in late 2025 as part of Phase 2 of the Big Data, Timely Insights program. The monthly CPI will serve as Australia’s headline measure of inflation and provide a more timely and comprehensive insight into economic conditions impacting Australian households and businesses.
