OSCA replaces ANZSCO as the standard occupation classification for use in Australia. It reflects the current Australian labour market.

ANZSCO – Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations
The Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations replaced ASCO. ANZSCO described the labour markets of Australia and New Zealand from 2006 to 2024.
ANZSCO underwent multiple reviews and revisions with the last being in 2022.

ASCO – Australian Standard Classification of Occupations
The Australian Standard Classification of Occupations was the first occupation classification based on skill level and skill specialisation. It described the Australian labour market from 1986 to 2005. ASCO underwent a major review in 1996.
