Tenure and Landlord Type

Tenure and Landlord Type (TENLLD)

This variable combines mark box responses from the questions asking about the tenure type of the dwelling and, if rented, who the dwelling is rented from (questions 56 and 57 on the Census Household Form). Tenure and Landlord Type (TENLLD) provides more detailed information for rented dwellings and is a new variable for the 2011 Census.

The non-response rate for TENLLD is 6.1% which includes all dwellings with a response for tenure type. Of the dwellings with a tenure type response of rented, 2.3% did not have a response for landlord type. More information is available from the 2011 Census non-response quality statement.

For further information see the data quality statements for Tenure Type (TEND) and Landlord Type (LLDD).

More information on TENLLD is available in the 2011 Census Dictionary (cat. no. 2901.0).
