Trend estimates

Total job vacancies in August 2019 were 236,500, a decrease of 1.3% from May 2019.
The number of job vacancies in the private sector was 213,300 in August 2019, a decrease of 1.8% from May 2019.
The number of job vacancies in the public sector was 23,200 in August 2019, an increase of 3.6% from May 2019.

Estimates of percentage change shown in this release have been calculated using unrounded estimates, and may be different from, but are more accurate than, movements obtained from calculating percentage change using the rounded estimates presented in the Tables and the datacubes on the Data downloads tab.
