The Australian Statistician established the Statistical Independent Assurance Panel, the Panel, for the 2021 Census of Population and Housing, to provide independent assurance and transparency of 2021 Census data quality.

The Panel was tasked with reviewing the 2021 Census data to provide an independent and high-level view of the quality of selected statistical outputs from the 2021 Census of Population and Housing.
