What level of data will be released at the Mesh Block level?
Mesh Block data will include basic population and dwelling counts.

What Mesh Block information is available?

Mesh Block boundaries were finalised for the 2006 Census between June and December 2007. The key dates relating to the introduction of Mesh Blocks are outlined in the table below. Basic Census counts are available for Mesh Blocks in
Mesh Blocks Digital Boundaries, Australia, 2006 (cat. no. 1209.0.55.002 ). Please note, that the data is only available on the website in GIS (Geographical Information Systems) file formats. No other counts based on Mesh Block boundaries will be available for the 2006 Census.

29 February 2008Basic Census counts became available for Mesh Blocks in Mesh Blocks Digital Boundaries, Australia, 2006 (cat. no. 1209.0.55.002 ).
TBAEnhancements to Mesh Blocks and development of a new Australian Statistical Geography, based on Mesh Blocks.
