Victoria produces more tomatoes than any other state. In 2001-02, Victorian farmers produced 262,400 tonnes of tomatoes, ahead of Queensland (109,500 tonnes) and New South Wales (34,800 tonnes).

In 2001-02, 79% of all tomatoes produced in Victoria came from Goulburn Statistical Division (207,400 tonnes) and 12% came from Loddon Statistical Division (31,500 tonnes).
