The proportion of businesses that abandoned at least one type of innovative activity during the year ended 30 June 2015 was 8%. Businesses with 0-4 persons employed had the lowest proportion of abandoned innovative activity (7%), while the highest was in businesses with 200 or more persons employed (12%).

Across innovation types, marketing methods were the most common type of innovative activity abandoned (4%).
