Sheep and lambs are raised throughout many parts of Queensland. At 30 June 2005, the Queensland sheep and lamb flock stood at 4.9 million.

At 30 June 2005, most sheep and lambs in Queensland were found in the South West Statistical Division (1.9 million) and the Central West Statistical Division (1.8 million).
