Australian Industry Publication Changes Consultation Collection Notice

The ABS is consulting with users of the Australian Industry publication to receive feedback on proposed changes.

The ABS is consulting with users of the Australian Industry publication to receive feedback on proposed changes for:

  • removal of items and/or industry detail in Mining industry tables
  • removal of the Industry value added tables
  • removal of, or changes to the Industry value added data item.

The consultation is open for submissions between 31 May 2024 and 30 November 2024.

We are reviewing the Australian Industry publication content to ensure we can continue to provide high quality data that is important to our users. This is why we have proposed to remove some less-used information.

Australian Industry is released annually and contains annual estimates of key economic and financial performance of industries in Australia, including income, expenses, profit and capital expenditure.

The ABS will make decisions on changes to the 2023–24 release and future releases of Australian Industry based on the information gathered in this consultation.

This Collection Notice explains the management of personal information as part of the consultation through the ABS Consultation Hub (Citizen Space).
