Contents >> Appendix 10 - Classification of industry of employment

Industry (of main job held at the time of the survey) is classified to the full 4 digit level of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (cat. no.1292.0). While survey results can technically be compiled at this level, the survey sample is not sufficient to support reliable output at that level. For most output purposes, industry classified to the broader Division level classification would be more suitable.
