At 30 June 2003, the Victorian sheep and lamb flock stood at 20.4 million. The highest numbers were found in the Western District, Wimmera and Central Highlands Statistical Divisions (SD).

At 30 June 2003, most sheep and lambs in Victoria were found in the Western District SD (6.1 million). This was followed by the Wimmera SD with 3.2 million and the Central Highlands SD also with 3.2 million.
