This group covers R&D directed towards improving the processes and activities associated with translating plans and specifications into finished buildings and structures.
It includes:

  • tendering processes and contractual matters;
  • construction management and quality assurance; and
  • health and safety aspects in construction.
This group has five objectives:
    870401 Civil Construction Processes
    870402 Commercial Construction Processes
    870403 Industrial Construction Processes
    870404 Residential Construction Processes
    870499 Construction Processes not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Energy conservation and efficiency in construction processes is included in Group 8507 Energy Conservation and Efficiency.
