This group covers R&D directed towards the processing of agricultural products not intended for human consumption, other than wood, paper and fibre products.
It includes:

processing of plant extracts and essential oils;
processing of organic fertilisers; and
manufacture of animal feed.

This group has five objectives:

Exclusions:
a) Production of whole plants, plant parts, and unprocessed or semi-processed plant primary products used for plant extracts or extraction of essential oils is included in Division 82 Plant Production and Plant Primary Products.
b) Processing of agricultural products for food is included in Groups 8601 Processed Food Products and Beverages (excl. Dairy Products) and 8602 Dairy Products.
c) Production of products from natural rubber is included in Group 8606 Industrial Chemicals and Related Products.
