Main Features Building Approvals Dwelling Units Approved, State Trends About this Release History of Changes Trend dwelling approvals rise 0.1 per cent in June (Media Release)	BUILDING APPROVALS NUMBER OF DWELLING UNITS The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.1% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 10.9% to 18,453 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 0.8% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 3.4% to 9,678 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses fell 0.7% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 20.0% to 8,534 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved fell 0.2% in June and has fallen for three months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 0.3% in June and has risen for two months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved rose 3.4% in June and has risen for five months.
