BUILDING APPROVALS The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.1% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 10.9% to 18,453 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 0.8% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 3.4% to 9,678 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses fell 0.7% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 20.0% to 8,534 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved fell 0.2% in June and has fallen for three months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 0.3% in June and has risen for two months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved rose 3.4% in June and has risen for five months.
