In WA in November 2011, in trend terms, there were:

    • 34,000 cattle slaughtered. There has been a slow decline in cattle numbers in WA each month since September 2010

    • just over 100 calves slaughtered, slightly below the number slaughtered in November 2010, and the lowest of any state or territory

    • 66,200 sheep slaughtered, a fall of 47.2% from the November 2010 figure

    • 168,900 lambs slaughtered, a decrease of 8.8% from the November 2010 figure.
