Potatoes are the principal vegetable crop grown in NSW. Most potatoes are grown in the Murrumbidgee and Murray Statistical Divisions.

Production in 2004-05 was 131,000 tonnes.

In 2004-05, 73% of all potatoes produced in NSW came from the Murrumbidgee and Murray Statistical Divisions with 47,700 tonnes and 47,500 tonnes respectively.
