SUMMARY COMMENTS
The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved rose 2.7% in November 2009. New South Wales (+3.5%), Queensland (+3.7%), the Northern Territory (+5.1%) and the Australian Capital Territory (+8.0%) recorded the largest rises.
The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 1.5% this month. The trend rose in New South Wales (+3.3%), Victoria (+1.5%), Queensland (+2.3%), South Australia (+0.3%) and Western Australia (+0.2%).
