Microdata from the 2005 Personal Safety Survey (PSS) is available in the form of an Expanded Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF).
The technical manual provides information about the data content of the 2005 PSS Expanded CURF, along with conditions of issue and how to access/order the file.
The CURF has been re-released to address quality issues identified on the file. The re-release also provides an opportunity to add 11 new data items and to restructure the file for greater ease of use. This technical manual has been reissued in conjunction with the re-release of the CURF.
For CURF users who have previously undertaken analyses on the CURF it is strongly recommended that this work be reviewed to ensure any revisions or changes to the file are taken into account. A detailed summary of the items impacted is contained in the data item list which can be accessed via the Downloads tab. Further information can be found in the Appendix.
