The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released the first round of Australia’s 2011 Census figures at 11.30 am on 21 June 2012.
The Census gives us a snapshot of Australia at a particular point in time that helps us understand more about our communities and how we live.
Census data will be available free of charge at the ABS website using a range of new, easy-to-use products. For more information on the release of Census data and products please see Information Paper: Census of Population and Housing – Products and Services, 2011 (cat. no. 2011.0.55.001).
