International Statistics Conference Highlights for Monday, 11 April The International Statistics Institute conference continues tomorrow at Sydney's Darling Harbour Convention Centre. Monday 11 April 0900-1000 Keynote address: Econometrics - A subset of statistics by Nobel Laureate, Sir Clive Granger (Harbourside Auditorium 2) Sir Clive shared the 2003 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences with Robert Engle for their discoveries in the analysis of time series data. Their work has fundamentally changed the way that economists think about financial and macro-economic data and has led to significant breakthroughs in statistics and macro-economic forecasting. He is Professor Emeritus at University of California, San Diego. 1015-1115 SAS®9 Software - Providing the Foundation for Analytic Intelligence by Dr John Brocklebank, Senior Research and Development Director, SAS Institute Inc (Harbourside Auditorium 2) Dr John Brocklebank is responsible for the product research and development for the Analytic ASP within Research and Development. Dr Brocklebank’s areas of expertise include statistical training and consulting, analytic and data mining software research, development and marketing.
