This sector covers R&D directed towards the improvement of society. Such improvements may have wider benefits, such as economic benefits, but these are not the principal objectives of the R&D. Exclusions: a) Provision of medical, health, education, training, community or cultural services on a commercial basis is included in Group 9099 Other Commercial Services and Tourism.
