This group covers R&D directed towards the understanding of economic issues at the
macroeconomic level, including fiscal policy, monetary policy, exchange rates, balance of payments, income policy, taxation and other macroeconomic issues.
This group has eleven objectives:

    910107 Macro Labour Market Issues
    910108 Monetary Policy
    910109 Savings and Investments
    910110 Taxation
    910199 Macroeconomics not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Provision of financial and investment services is included in Group 9001 Property, Business Support Services and Trade.
    b) Economic issues of tourism are included in Group 9003 Tourism.
    c) Economics of health policy outcomes are included in Group 9202 Health and Support Services.
