This group covers R&D directed towards the manufacture and repair of transport equipment, including their components.
It includes:

  • motor vehicles;
  • railway rolling stock;
  • aircraft; and
  • ships and boats.
This group has six objectives:
    861301 Aerospace Equipment
    861302 Automotive Equipment
    861303 Nautical Equipment (excl. Yachts)
    861304 Rail Equipment
    861305 Yachts
    861399 Transport Equipment not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Internal hydrogen combustion engines are included in Group 8504 Energy Transformation.
    b) Construction of transport infrastructure is included in Division 87 Construction.
    c) Transport infrastructure (other than its construction) is included in Division 88 Transport.
