DWELLING UNITS APPROVED The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 2.4% in August and has fallen for eight months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 1.9% in August and has fallen for seven months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 1.4% in August and has risen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.4% and has fallen for six months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 4.0% in August and has fallen for the last 11 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 3.6% in August and has fallen for ten months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 1.3% in August and is now showing falls for two months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.4% in August following a flat July. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total dwelling units approved in Western Australia rose 0.2% in August and is now showing rises for two months.
