This publication presents estimates of net undercount for the 2011 Census of Population and Housing, resulting from the Census Post Enumeration Survey (PES). The PES is a household survey conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) immediately after each Census, in order to provide an independent measure of Census coverage. As well as providing 2011 net undercount estimates by a range of demographic characteristics, this publication also details how the 2011 PES was conducted and how 2011 net undercount estimates have been calculated.
