Census jobs – for a brighter future in Swan Hill

The Area Supervisor positions will assist the ABS conduct the Census of Population and Housing on 9 August 2011, and will help oversee the distribution and collection of approximately 14.2 million Census forms to Australia’s 9.8 million households.

“We’ve been working with the ABS since last year to guarantee a successful Census in Swan Hill ”, Councillor Arnold says.

It’s the first 2011 Census recruitment push by the ABS. In April a further 29,000 collector positions will be advertised nationally.

Councillor Cruickshank says the Census is the largest peace time operation conducted in Australia.

“These Census Area Supervisor positions are perfect for people who want to help their neighbours, friends and communities. Census jobs will make a real and positive contribution to Swan Hill,” Councillor Cruickshank says.

Area Supervisors will receive between $4,300 and $7,500 for the part-time position and will be employed from 18 April until 7 October.
