Census jobs – shed some light on NSW flood areas
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is recruiting over 1,100 part-time Area Supervisors in every corner of NSW in the lead up to Census night on Tuesday 9 August, 2011.
With parts of NSW rebuilding after the recent floods, Area Supervisors, more than ever, are vital to the success of the Census.
NSW Census Director, Mark Harding says Census data helps provide important information to decision makers and flood affected communities to help plan for the future.
“These Census Area Supervisor positions are perfect for people who want to help their neighbours, friends and communities recover from this disaster.
“Census jobs will make a real and positive contribution to rebuilding your flood affected towns and regions.
Mr Harding says the ABS has increased the salaries of Area Supervisors in recognition of the fantastic hard work they do.
"These are rewarding part-time jobs that pay between $4,300 and $7,500 with the bonus of contributing to life in your community," Mr Harding concluded.
Positions open on Saturday 12 February, 2011.
