MEDIAN AGE AT MARRIAGE

The median age at marriage for males in 2011 was 31.4 years, the same as that reported in 2010. The median age at marriage for females in 2011 was 29.3 years, an increase of 0.1 years since 2010. Median age at marriage has remained stable for both males and females in recent years.

The median age at first marriage in 2011 was 29.7 years for males and 28.0 years for females. Median age at first marriage for males has changed little since 2006, increasing by 0.1 years over this time. The median age at first marriage for females has increased by 0.4 years over the same period.
