DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 2.4% in July 2010 and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.5% and is now showing falls for eight months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 0.5% in July after falling for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.6% and has recorded seven consecutive months of falls. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 6.7% in July and has fallen for five consecutive months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 4.0% and has fallen for seven months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 1.8% in July and is now showing falls for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 1.8% and has fallen for five months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 7.2% in July and has fallen for five consecutive months.
