BUILDING APPROVALS AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for the number of dwelling units approved rose 0.1% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 6.9% to 12,778 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 1.0% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 1.2% to 7,926 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses fell 1.5% in June. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 12.6% to 4,543 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved rose 0.5% in June and has risen for four months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 0.1% in June and has risen for six months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 1.7% in June and has fallen for two months.
