KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for September 2018:
  • After a 8.4% increase last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves increased a further 3.4% to $2,900 million in the September 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs decreased 3.0% to $1,100 million following a 4.0% increase in the June 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of pigs decreased 7.2% to $265 million in the September 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of poultry increased 6.1% to $702 million, following a 3.5% increase in the June 2018 quarter.
